There's no dashboard to configure before you get value and no manual to read first. You sign in, you ask, you get a grounded answer.
This guide walks the first five minutes: what you see when you land, how the composer works, and the two fastest paths to a real answer.
Step 1 — Start your trial and sign in
Every account starts with a 7-day trial. A card is required up front, and you can cancel any time from Settings before the trial ends. Once you're in, the app opens straight into the chat home — no onboarding maze.
A single prompt: "What's MAX got for you today?" with one big input box and a handful of starter pills underneath. That input box — the composer — is where everything happens.
Step 2 — Understand the composer
The composer is a normal text box with two superpowers built in. You can type a full question in plain English, or you can trigger structured actions with two keys:
Type "/" to run a command
A menu pops up with MAX's built-in actions — analyze a symbol, find a trade, compose a dashboard, pull levels, and more. Pick one and MAX runs that exact workflow.
Type "@" to pull up a symbol
Start typing a ticker or pair — AAPL, BTC, EUR/USD, /ES — and a picker filters as you go, across stocks, crypto, forex, and futures. Select it and MAX knows exactly which asset you mean.
Or just ask
"Long or short BTC right now?" works perfectly. The slash and @ shortcuts are for speed, not a requirement.
Step 3 — Get your first answer (two fast paths)
You don't need to know what to ask. The starter panel under the composer gives you two one-click on-ramps.
Either way, within a few seconds you'll watch MAX work through its pipeline live, then land on a verdict: a direction, a confidence score, trade levels, and a written thesis that cites the data behind every claim.
"What is the market actually telling me today?" · "What's smart money doing that retail isn't?" · "What's the biggest risk forming today?" · "Long or short BTC right now?"
Step 4 — Know where things live
The left sidebar is your map. Chats holds your conversation history, Dashboards holds live market overviews you can build on, Monitors is where you set alerts, and Strategies holds trade playbooks. We cover each of these in its own How-To guide.
